Flirty and voluptuous

Velvety skin brushed with rapturous coral

Lounging on the countertop in a bowl with others, inviting

Almost begging to be consumed

I gently squeeze the fruit to test for ripeness and the pads of my fingers make there mark

Ohhhhh

It’s ready

There’s some give

I grab something to sop up the oncoming drips

Teeth pierce flesh

Tangy sweetness bursts forth

Pale, fragrant juices gloss my lips and dribble down my chin and hand

Losing all sense of decorum

My mouth makes it’s way eagerly around the stone

Gulping the sumptuous fruit with gusto

I sit back

Sticky and satisfied

Drunk on life’s simple pleasures
